London-based indie outfit Howling Hawk are carving out their place in the scene with a sound that fuses sharp riffs, heartfelt lyrics, and undeniable chemistry. Fronted by Jim on bass and vocals, the lineup is completed by Paolo on rhythm guitar, Reece on drums, and Gonzalo on lead guitar. Together, they’ve created a sonic identity that is both familiar and refreshingly new.

Their upcoming single, “The Downside” (out 3rd October 2025), was recorded at Unit 13 Studios near Millwall football ground with legendary producer Paul Tipler (Idlewild, Dr. Feelgood, Placebo). Tipler’s experienced touch helped bring the band’s vision to life, capturing a track that blends infectious energy with lyrical depth.

Drawing inspiration from The Strokes and The Smiths, Howling Hawk’s music thrives on big choruses and driving riffs. “The Downside” explores themes of struggle, dreams, and resilience—reminding us that even in hardship, it’s hope that keeps us moving forward.
