NMR - Samuel - Good Thing - Review

A warm and soft intro opens the track, nice mellow chords with a super smooth vocal tone from Samuel.

The pace picks up a bit with some added instrumention and some cool sounds going on, the vocal gets more width in the stereo space, the Bass is particularly nice  on this song.

The mix and production is spot on for this style, very well presented, if your looking for relaxing pop , this could be for you.

Samuel - New release - Good Thing ( Pop )

Latets Release "Good Thing" captures that quiet, unsettling moment when you realise you were the one who let something rare slip away. It’s not framed as a typical breakup song, but rather as a confession—controlled, deliberate, and deeply uncomfortable.

Samuel, a 26-year-old Paris-born singer, songwriter and producer, operates between London, Paris and Milan, an artist shaped by movement, perspective and intention. Described as “the pop scene’s newest member” by Wonderland, he writes and produces his own material, maintaining full creative control across his releases. His work is defined by clarity, restraint and a strong sense of direction.

Born into a family of musicians, Samuel committed to music at 18, shortly after graduating, while studying International Business in London. He first launched his career in France in 2018 with the debut single 50 nuances de toi, followed by a steady run of releases that led to a full-length album in 2024.

With Good Thing, he enters a new phase as a fully independent artist. The track reflects his evolving identity, lending French sensibility with UK-leaning indie pop. Subtle, precise and emotionally direct, Samuel represents a new generation of European artists creating with a clear international outlook.
