The Wildlands - Mountains (  Country Rock  / Pop ) Review

NMR -  Great rhythm and groove on this track, upbeat tempo with the strings sitting in amongst the acoustic guitars, the gritty vocal pulls things together with the additon of some really nice harmonies.

The arrangment keeps things interesting, the mix and production is very nice too.

The Wildlands are a four-piece band from Dallas, Texas, formed in 2024. They made their debut the same year with their first single, “Darlin”, followed by two more releases in 2025, “Change” and “Mr. Bones.”

The band have kept up the momentum into 2026 with two new singles, “Fever Wolf” and “Mountains,” building anticipation for their upcoming six-track EP, set for release on May 14, 2026.

Drawing influence from the ’90s and spanning across multiple decades of rock, The Wildlands embrace an eclectic sound. Their philosophy is simple: a good song is a good song, regardless of genre.

Formed through what they describe as the “magic of music,” the group began as four strangers who quickly found a strong creative and personal connection. It’s a rare chemistry—one that not only fuels their music but also makes the process genuinely enjoyable. When that kind of magic appears, it’s something worth holding onto and letting lead the way.

At the core of the band’s songwriting are Dean (guitar) and Brian (lead vocals/guitar), who have been writing music together for over 12 years. The Wildlands emerged from the remnants of two previous projects, with the pair determined to build something new.

That vision came to life with the addition of Pierre and Emily, both of whom have become integral to shaping the band’s evolving sound.

The journey is just getting started—step in and explore The Wildlands.
