Wuzy Bambussy is vocalist Kat Harrison & songwriter, producer & multi-instrumentalist Nikolai Jones. Based in the beating heart of Englands’ West country, the pair and their far flung host of accomplices fire up an eclectic, beatific soundtrack of jazzy vibes, encompassing funk, folk, indie rock & electronica. As of March 2023 Bambussy and Bristolian chanteuse Kat Harrison are releasing a single every month for the remainder of the year. The track January Blue is the last in a batch of 10 monthly singles released by the UK indie pop duo Wuzy Bambussy. The song is a rumination on post New Years seasonal sadness & loss. Written & recorded in 3/4 time the song has an old world waltzing feel. Complimented by majestic violins, rhythmic finger cymbals and even a clan of chattering Jackdaws recorded as they nested in producer Nikolai Jones’ Chimneystack. January Blue is a classic quirky yet dark Bambussy track. Cinematic, evocative and compelling.
