Bio – Hannah Duckworth: A Musical Journey Through Nostalgia and Innovation

Hannah Duckworth, a Seattle-based musician, seamlessly blends straightforward lyricism and irresistibly catchy melodies in her music, evoking the finest remnants of millennial nostalgia. Drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of 90s alternative and early 2000s pop punk, she crafts sonically pleasing, guitar-driven masterpieces that transport listeners back in time while remaining anchored in the present. Her debut singles exude the energy of Paramore, the narrative punch of Taylor Swift, and the iconic guitar riffs reminiscent of 2000s heroes like Fall Out Boy and The Starting Line.

Growing up in the beachy outskirts of Tampa, FL, Hannah’s musical journey reflects a diverse evolution. Initially exposed to country legends like George Strait, Patsy Cline, and the Dixie Chicks, she transitioned to the alternative rock scene, shaping her taste with influential albums like “Where You Want to Be” (Taking Back Sunday) and “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge” (My Chemical Romance) during middle school.

Hannah is a self-taught guitar player, having picked up the instrument in high school after early piano training. Despite pursuing a business degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and excelling as a collegiate rower, she eventually shifted from a successful career in marketing and software design to launch her own consultancy, designing and managing software products. Throughout her professional journey, her passion for music persisted, and she began crafting a catalog of acoustic songs in secret.

Armed with strategically selected tunes, Hannah plunged into Seattle’s open mic and local music scene, instantly gaining recognition for her standout style and relatable millennial lyricism. Despite her recent entry into the music scene, her success has been swift, with Aaron Gillespie, drummer of Underoath and frontman of The Almost, signing on to produce her upcoming EP. Promising a sensational journey, her debut EP invites listeners to bop to the present while journeying through the sounds of yesteryear.

In just over a year, Hannah has made a significant impact in Seattle and aims to expand her reach throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Over the next year, she plans to showcase her high-energy, fun, and dynamic 5-piece act at festivals across America, entertaining audiences with music rich in nostalgic elements from 90s alternative to 2000s emo and pop punk. As a rising star in Seattle, her commitment to creating music with the depth and complexity of real instruments promises an exciting journey for listeners.
