Its fair to say that whilst I review and post many new artists on here, my focus hasn’t really been on the distribution side of things, Im aware of the big names, and also the discontent artist have with the various pricing structures and payout rates, and the fact that its almost impossible to actually make any income from streaming in general.
The Founder of a new service Aulosa got in touch through our SubReddit r/musicmarketing in an effort to promote this new platform where the Artist gets a much larger share of the funds, so everyones a winner right ?..
Well….this remains to be seen, their model is based on the fact the Aulosa makes their money from the One off fees paid by the artist, and I guess any Ad revenues and so on from the site, but time will tell if this is a sustainable model, but lets hope so.
