Kent Dustin’s music captures the deepest moments of connection, dopamine, and the essence of being human—often overlooked in the hustle of daily life. Through his indie-folk soundscapes, he invites listeners to see the beauty in the mundane, choose optimism, and build lives rich with ‘little moments.’
“I believe we get one shot at this life, yet we often invest our time and energy in things that don’t truly celebrate what it means to be human,” says Dustin. “It’s those fleeting experiences—a flirty interaction that makes your heart flutter, waking up and choosing optimism, or the moment you realize you can trust someone after past hurt—that hold real significance. If my music connects with people because it resonates in those overlooked but meaningful moments, then I’m fulfilling my role as an artist.”
The Kent Dustin project draws inspiration from a variety of artists across genres, including Luke Combs, The Teskey Brothers, Justin Timberlake, Running Touch, and Mansionair. These influences shape his music into uplifting, earnest, and deeply-rooted sonic tapestries of universal storytelling.
Produced by Robby De Sa, Nick Zaharias, and Luke Palmer, and performed by Kent Tonscheck—who handles vocals, guitar, drum pad, and looping—the Kent Dustin project is gearing up for an exciting 2023. With a string of releases, including a duet titled “I’d Miss You More” with fellow musician Tesh Batkins, all leading up to a forthcoming EP. This EP promises a raw-acoustic atmosphere that highlights Dustin’s poetic skills and emphasizes the importance of narrative and moments throughout his work.
