NMR - TAHM - Skyline, new release for 2026.
The track kicks off with a really nice intro at a nice pace, the vocals are strong and wide, giving the song plenty of space to breathe, and the video adds a cool visual layer to the experience.
The guitar work is particularly impressive—wide, layered, and fills the space well, the chorus is in fairly quickly whihc is criticla in these times, , and while the tempo doesn’t technically change, doubling up the guitar chords gives it more energy and a sense of forward momentum, instaruments are well-panned, with duplicate layers creating a rich, dynamic sound.
There’s a mix of chunky chord patterns and a rhythmic guitar riff, with small, melodic fills sprinkled between sections, and acoustic guitar textures in the background add extra depth, we get a double chorus, maintaining a classic song structure that’s executed really well.
Overall, the melodies are solid, the mix is clean, and the production feels polished. Guitar details trickle throughout, keeping the arrangement engaging. It’s a track with a nice vibe, strong instrumentation, and plenty of energy—definitely worth a listen.
TAHM - New release - Skyline ( Bio )
TAHM began life in the 1990s, formed by Katie Palmer, Ian Palmer, and Paul Hodgson. Armed with a handful of demos, the trio quickly caught the attention of Roadrunner Records, marking the start of an impressive early career. Working with acclaimed producers Paul Kendall (Nine Inch Nails) and George Shilling (Bernard Butler, Yazz), TAHM’s music found its way into Hollywood films including Entrapment, Virus, and Stargate, as well as Sky TV campaigns and national radio airplay.
Critical praise came swiftly from publications such as Kerrang!, Melody Maker, and NME, and the band toured with acts including Shed 7, Smoke City, and Cleopatra. But, as often happens, life intervened, and the project went on pause.
A Creative Rebirth
Fast-forward 25 years: a chance reconnection reignited the spark—not as a nostalgia act, but as a genuine creative rebirth. In February 2025, TAHM released a series of four singles that firmly re-established their presence in the contemporary music scene. These tracks earned BBC Northwest Introducing airplay, were featured on the BBC Orbitapp, and appeared on influential playlists across the UK and US. Standout track 17 Years even reached #1 on the Prospect Music Chart and received radio play as far afield as Los Angeles.
Building Momentum
Throughout 2025, TAHM became regular fixtures on respected independent radio stations, including Amazing Radio, Future Sounds Radio, Alternative Twist, Unheard Radio, and Prospect Radio. They also appeared on a range of music podcasts, accompanied by coverage from outlets such as Notion, Music Crowns, Flex Music, Total Entertainment, Plastic Magazine, Rattler, and Clout.
With over 90,000 streams in their first single year and a rapidly growing fanbase—expanding their social following from double figures to over 4,000—TAHM combined studio output with regular live online performances. They are now preparing for an increasingly busy live schedule in 2026.
Looking Ahead
Now focused on writing and recording new material, TAHM’s sound has evolved into something anthemic, with hazy, late-summer warmth, big choruses, and strong melodies. The band is set to continue making waves, blending their rich 90s roots with a modern, vibrant edge.
