The Sedonas - Country Rock with extra bite...

NMR - Having secured support slots wth headliners such as ZZ Top, The Who, Goo Goo Dolls and  Lynard Skynard, these guys know a thing or 2 about gigging.

This new release is every bit of Country Rock you could wish for, with a driving rhythm and solid guitar licks this Rock train is moving at pace !

The vocal style from james suits this style really well, a strong performance and a great range shows his ability to deliver at this level.

I must mention the guitar from Ryan Sise work also, panned right in the stereo fiield it maintains the groove consistently, not too mention a cracking solo.

I can see how these guys are getting noticed, check it out for yourself.

About -

“Whistlin’-Along” marks the debut of new studio material from The Sedonas since 2022, kicking off what promises to be a busy run of releases throughout 2026.

Drawing heavy inspiration from the band’s touring experiences with Dwight Yoakam, the single blends country and rock influences while exploring themes of perseverance and authenticity.

Guitarist Ryan Sise plays a key role in shaping the track, contributing as both producer and performer. Notably, the song features a rare acoustic guitar solo — a stylistic departure from the band’s usual sound — adding a fresh dimension to their evolving musical identity.

The title “Whistlin’-Along” reflects both forward momentum and the prominent whistling woven throughout the track. Complementing this is the drummer’s use of a classic “train beat,” reinforcing the song’s sense of movement and journey.

The single will be available across all major streaming and download platforms, accompanied by a short video shared via the band’s social channels. The video captures The Sedonas recording the track at the historic Welcome to 1979 studio in Nashville.

Hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee, The Sedonas have built an impressive catalogue, including an EP, two standalone singles, three studio albums, and a longer live project titled Opening Selects. Since 2016, the band has toured extensively across the United States, sharing stages with major acts such as The Who, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Black Crowes, and Goo Goo Dolls.

Frontman James Connor Wike leads the band as primary songwriter and manager, joined by Ryan Sise on guitar and Casey Green on drums and percussion. The group currently rotates between bassists Sam Fruend and Dre Phelps.

Looking ahead, The Sedonas are set to tour with Three Dog Night and other acts throughout the year, balancing live performances with a steady stream of new releases.
