Zak Taylored - Feels Like Home - Review

NMR - This track has energy and good arrangment, its hard to distinguish where the the human parts start and stop , though there are elements that feel a bit " over produced" to my ear.

The melodies work well, the instrumentation is full, the vocal is good ...is it human ?

About - Zak Taylored & his new release

Cambridge-based singer-songwriter Zack Taylored has announced the release of his new three-track EP, Feels Like Home, available now across all major platforms.

The project explores the deep connection between identity and personal history, focusing on how sensory triggers—such as a familiar smell or taste—can instantly bring back vivid childhood memories. At its core, Feels Like Home is a reflective body of work that emphasises the importance of embracing one’s roots and recognising how formative experiences shape who we become.

Departing from his typically softer, more polished arrangements, Taylored takes a raw and unfiltered approach on this release. The EP leans into darker, more introspective themes, allowing the emotional weight of the songs to come through with greater authenticity.

Speaking about the project, Taylored explains:
“Because of the nature of this song, it was difficult to hide the deeper, darker messages behind my usual arrangements. I felt compelled to keep it raw, as it seemed more honest not to alter too much. That’s why it eventually became a three-track EP.”

Feels Like Home is available to stream and purchase now, including on iTunes, with previews also accessible via Spotify, YouTube, and social media platforms.
